Andy broke down and hired a house cleaner for the first time. When we arrived home from school and work today, I told J we have a new fairy godmother who cleaned our house. She is almost as excited as Alison.

My niece Jacquelyn deserves her own blog. She’s only 2, but she’s got a sharp wit and a precocious nature. She happens to be the daughter of two very intelligent science-minded people (my brother-in-law is a vet, and my sister is a biology professor). She loves pink and princesses, much to her parents’ amusement and surprise. And she has a lot to say.
